Classical 5-Element Acupuncture is one of the oldest known forms of acupuncture, having been practiced for thousands of years. It is based on the laws of nature, and uses acupuncture needles to help balance a person’s energy (or life force), which is called qi. Its focus is on treating each person as a whole, and as a unique individual.
While many people suffer from the same complaints or symptoms, the causes of those will be different in each person. The practitioner will take a complete case history and overview of that person’s life, and, through various diagnostic tools, determines where a person’s qi energy is out of balance. Treatment then aims to harmonize and balance that energy, leaving nature to take care of presenting symptoms.
On going acupuncture treatment supports a more relaxed and higher energetic state allowing one to better respond to the changing scenery of life.
Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and National Institute of Health (NIH) as an effective treatment for a multitude of conditions.
